After AIIMS, the Twitter handle of the Jal Shakti Ministry hacked
It is reported that the Twitter handle of the Union Jal Shakti Ministry has been hacked. Since then, security agencies and cyber experts have been involved in the investigation. According to media reports, now the account has been restored. This is the second major cyber attack on a government site after the Delhi AIIMS server was hacked last week.
Whatsapp banned 23 lakh user accounts
WhatsApp banned more than 23 lakh Indian accounts in the month of October following the security guidelines for users as per Rule 4(1)(d) of the Information Technology Rules, 2021. The instant messaging platform released its users’ safety monthly report and revealed that between October 1 and October 31, 2022, 2,324,000 WhatsApp accounts were banned after receiving complaints from users.
