Governments should immediately address to the problem and provide food and health facilities to Indians who cannot afford it

Lucknow, 30th March 2020 : A CSDS study in 2019 estimates 40% of our working population are daily wagers….47% in villages,36% in small towns and 29% in big cities. If we corroborate these findings with another CSDS study that only 15% of Indians save from their income,32% barely manage to meet their ends and 50% are in abysmal poverty.

This speaks of a major tragedy happening right now in our villages, towns and cities. Centre for Objective Research and Development(CORD), Director Athar Husain in a statement has said that Union Government of India and State Governments should immediately address to the problem and provide food and health facilities to Indians who cannot afford it due to loss of their jobs.
