Cabinet approves Taranga Hill-Ambaji-Abu Road new rail line to provide connectivity and improve mobility

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has approved the construction of the Taranga Hill-Ambaji- Abu Road’s new rail line to be constructed by the Ministry of Railways at an estimated cost of Rs.2798.16 crore.

The total length of the new rail line will be 116.65 kms.  The project will be completed by 2026-27. The project will generate direct employment during construction for about 40 lakh man-days.

PM Modi to visit UP and inaugurate Bundelkhand Expressway on 16th July

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Uttar Pradesh on 16th July 2022 and inaugurate Bundelkhand Expressway at Kaitheri village in Orai tehsil of Jalaun district at around 11:30 AM.

According to a PMO’s press release the government has been committed to enhancing connectivity across the country, a key feature of which has been the work towards improvement in road infrastructure. A significant endeavour towards this was the laying of the foundation stone for the construction of the Bundelkhand Expressway by the Prime Minister on 29 February 2020. The work on the Expressway has been completed within 28 months and it will now be inaugurated by the Prime Minister.

The Chairman National Commission for Minorities Shri Iqbal Singh Lalpura and Members of the Commission has congratulated Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and his Cabinet for having approved Taranga Hill-Ambaji-Abu Road new rail line. Particularly Taranga Hill is a pilgrimage centre for the Jains wherein there are about 19 temples, out of which one temple (Jinalaya) is of Bhagwan Ajitnath Tirthankar.
