Prof. Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of J&K National Panthers Party and Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court of India wrote a strong letter to Prime Minister Modi in response to the Prime Minister’s open letter to the countrymen. NPP Supremo in his open reply to the Prime Minister, Modi Ji, has raised the pertinent issues/subjects concerning public interest which have been either ignored or diluted or even crushed by the Prime Minister. In his letter, NPP Supremo sent his open letter to the Prime Minister in 12 points ranging from Ram Janam Bhumi to the foreign policy of India and the consequential effects on India’s foreign policy and Non-Alignment. The letter is produced below for public opinion and information of all:

“Hon’ble Prime Minister, Modi Sahib,

It is my pleasure to read this morning your letter as Pradhan Sevak to the citizens of India about your government’s one year achievements.

I feel that translator has not been very careful in translating your letter into English. However I would like to appreciate your letter and your efforts to plead for your government’s case before 130 crores.

I would like to express my views as one of the humble citizen of India in Jammu & Kashmir in the following paragraphs.

‘You have mentioned that your government scrapped Article 370 from the Indian Constitution. This movement the Panthers Party has been following since its creation in 1982 seeking amendment in Article 370. It is surprising that the Instrument of Accession that was signed by Maharaja of J&K in 1947 has been accepted nor its command has been amended. The Maharaja signed the Instrument of Accession on October 26, 1947 retaining three subjects namely Defence, Foreign Affairs and Communications with Allied Matters. You have nor your government has mentioned a word regarding the Instrument of Accession vis-à-vis State of Jammu & Kashmir.

‘Your government has retained Article 370 (1) without referring about the status of the Instrument of Accession.

‘That without integrating the State of Jammu & Kashmir, you have demolished the statehood of Jammu & Kashmir by converting only one half of it into a Union Territory. One half of the State of Jammu & Kashmir which include POK, Gilgit-Baltistan & some Territories are under Chinese illegal possession in the Ladakh sector. Your government has not mentioned the status of that occupied areas of J&K about its status. This is very important that the 200 years old statehood of Jammu & Kashmir should have been restored and the Instrument of Accession signed by the Maharaja should have been accommodated in the order of the Parliament to integrate the entire State into the Union of India without disturbing its 200 years old status to keep our claim over the illegally occupied Territories of Jammu & Kashmir by Pakistan and China.

‘You have mentioned about Ram Temple that it was restored as such by your government during one year of your achievements. This Temple was restored to the trust on the direction/judgment of the Supreme Court of India. Your government had nothing to do to restore the status of Ayadhoya Ram Temple.

‘You have mentioned about raising status of Chief of Army Staff. I would like to remind you that it was during the Congress government when Five Star generalship was accorded to General Manak Shah.

‘Your very kind to mention that Rs. 72,000 crores has been deposited in the Bank Accounts of 9.5 crore farmers. If that is really deposited than each farmer would have got Rs. 20 per day and about Rs. 7500 per farmer. My enquiry and information sought from different farmers groups revealed that no farmer has received a penny of such contribution. This matter is serious and deserves confirmation whether this money has gone to the farmers.

‘Lockdown in Corona. You were kind to mention your achievement that the whole country followed you to beat Tali & Thali, light a lamp for defeating Corona Virus. People followed you. They are waiting for the outcome as what they got. You further claim that no Indian is suffering because of Lockdown. How can you justify the killings, torture and suffering and even death of many workers/labourers returning to their homes from outside States? Many workers returning homes from other States died while walking. For starving and dying of Trains and road accidents.

‘Your kind to promise that all elder citizens above 60 years of age shall get a pension of Rs. 3000 per month. Where is that promise? Mr. Prime Minister.

‘Your government was gracious enough to bring India’s image down in the eyes of the world when by introducing Citizenship Amendment Act (now law) offering Indian citizenship to all accept Muslims from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh etc. This was utterly against the principles of secular character of India which is now included in the Constitution of India. This is for the first time that India’s secularism has come under question all over the world. Why Muslims were only who were deleted from the list of those who come/return to India like others.

‘Aatamnirbhar: You were great when you mentioned that every India should become Aatamnirbhar-that every Indian should give up all foreign items and lead the country by giving up all foreign clothing, ornaments, writing pens and all imported items and should use only what is made in India. The Hon’ble Prime Minister should first satisfy himself if all his colleagues and subordinate Sevaks shall give up using foreign items.

‘India is one of the leading Nations in the world. It has a unique status as a Member of the United Nations right since 1945. India had, in cooperation with other Nations established NAM (Non-Aligned Movement). India had followed the principle of Non-Alignment since 1954 under the leadership of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru and others. This is surprising that NAM stands nowhere in the foreign dictionary of India since Prime Minister Modi Ji (Pradhan Sevak) took over the leadership of the country. Pradhan Mantri of India is free to start election campaign for the US President, Mr. Donald Trump. This is in total contrast of NAM policies and principles. NAM had rather disappear from the dictionary of India as well as from its agenda. Has India submitted to the USA and follow its policy on the International sphere? Has India submitted to the imperialist policy and divorced the International policy of the country which was founded by great leaders. NAM has been completely ignored and even abandoned it appears.

‘Hon’ble Pradhan Sevak may be pleased to pen down his opinion/views on the issues which I have mentioned as a citizen of India though residing in State of Jammu & Kashmir whose integrity has been robbed by the government. It is expected that the Pradhan Sevak may be pleased to direct all his subordinate Sevaks to deal with the Indian citizens as their sevaks and act in accordance with the human rights enshrined in the Constitution of India in Chapter-III. When the Prime Minister of the country is himself a Pradhan Sevak than how Sevaks subordinate to Pradhan Sevak are allowed to work as rulers in violation of Pradhan Sevaks command”.

“Drum beater I am,

Drum beater shall go

Lest you forget his

Strokes, his echoes!”

‘With regards & waiting for reply’,

Yours Sincerely,

Sd/-

Bhim Singh
