Panthers Party observes the 76th Anniversary of the ‘Atom bombing’ of Hiroshima & Nagasaki in 1945

Jammu/New Delhi. August 7, 2021: Prof. Bhim Singh, President of J&K National Panthers Party during his tour on a motorcycle around the world on a peace mission visited Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1972. He also met several atoms affected patients who were under treatment in Hiroshima hospital. He also visited Nagasaki.

Prof. Bhim Singh has also given details on his visit to Hiroshima and Nagasaki in his book, ‘Peace Mission, Around the World on Motorcycle’.

Hundreds of Panthers Party activists organized massive memorial gatherings in Jammu, New Delhi and several other places paying homage to nearly 3,00000 civilians (unarmed) in Hiroshima and Nagasaki who were burnt alive in seconds by the first use of atom bomb by the United States of America in Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, and Nagasaki on August 9, 1945.

The Panthers Party activists observed two-minute silence in the memory of those who were turned into ashes by the first use of the bombs by the United States of America against Japan. The latest estimate has been taken as 292,325 persons were killed by the atom blast on August 6 & 9, 2021 in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Prof. Bhim Singh while speaking to the NPP activists condemned the United States of America for using atom bombs against humanity 78 years back and still they are not ashamed of their most heinous crime against humanity.

Prof. Bhim Singh called on the world powers to stop building nuclear arsenals, atom bombs or any other weapons so that the world may live in peace, dignity and harmony. He accused the countries which have been piling nuclear arsenals and selling it to the developing countries only to flourish their trade and earn money out of the blood of the innocent people across the world in Asia, Africa or elsewhere.

Prof. Bhim Singh while addressing peace activists conveyed that “The history of the world is living witness to the fact that bloody battles and horrifying wars leave only hatred, cause conflicts and wounds in the minds and souls of the people for centuries. The history of the wars is living evidence that wars have resolved no conflict rather left lasting wounds even on the souls of human beings. Those who tried to destroy humanity with the power of swords, guns and atom bombs have disappeared though, yet the nations continue to bleed what cannot say for how long. The power-hungry politicians should take this lesson, stop using guns, weapons and nuclear power to maintain their temporary glory and continue in power, may it be the East or the West.”

Prof. Bhim Singh said that the power-hungry politicians all over the world have been exploiting their own people, robbing their own wealth to enrich their countries with nuclear weapons and bombs least caring to seek resolution to the problems their own people have been suffering from hunger, exploitation, discrimination, disease and many fold problems in every country. The United Nations should play its role as a leader of the nations, the world, unite the people against all kinds of wars and battles so that the society survives with honour and dignity and for long.
