Jayakalyani is a Naidu by caste, and is the daughter of Tamilnadu Minister, Sekhar Babu. She fell in love with, and married a young man of Vanniar caste. And now they are getting death threats.

So if even Naidus and Vanniars ( both Hindu castes ) cannot be united, how can one unite the whole country by a yatra ?

In western UP and Haryana, if a dalit boy falls in love with a Jat girl, he is inviting a death sentence. The same often happens in Tamilnadu if a dalit boy falls in love with a non dalit girl.

Casteism and communalism, which are feudal forces, cannot be destroyed by yatras. They can only be destroyed by a mighty historical people’s struggle led by patriotic modern minded leaders determined to rapidly industrialise and modernise the country.
