Prof. Bhim Singh while addressing the Working Committee members of JKNPP at Jammu expressed shock on the failure of the Union Govt. to implement the hard expressed assurance of the Prime Minister. The NPP Supremo told the senior Panthers Party leaders that the negative thinking leadership in the Central Govt. failed to understand the message which Prime Minister Modi had conveyed to the people of Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh, though, the leadership of Ladakh was not invited at all and the Prime Minister failed that day to answer this polite question raised by Prof. Bhim Singh. Prof. Bhim Singh urged the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi that his assurance to restore peace in J&K shall be implemented yet it never happened. He regretted that the BJP and other supporters in the BJP never advised the Prime Minister to implement his assurance. Mr. Modi had assured the leadership of all political parties of J&K that he shall follow the consensus which was sure;            i).       That Statehood of J&K shall be restored without delay. ii).      That all fundamental rights guaranteed to J&K shall be implemented in respect of all residents of J&K. iii).     That a democratic government shall be installed in J&K which suddenly…

Secularism in the Indian Constitution will remain after BJP rule also

New Delhi/Jammu, August 26, 2021: The BJP leadership in power in the Union Govt. must record this message of secularism in India which shall remain as long as Bharat is there. Secularism has become the foundation of socialist, democratic and secular India which shall remain as the soul in the Indian Constitution and in the mind and heart as long as India shall survive among 193 Members of the United Nations as of today. Prof.Bhim Singh, President of J&K National Panthers Party & Sr. Advocate, Supreme Court of India conveyed this statement from Panthers Party Headquarters in Jammu, J&K. He had a one-hour discussion with the Panthers Party leadership, most of them are lawyers and former ministers and legislators in J&K. Prof.Bhim Singh had studied LL.M in London University and passed out Degree of LL.M with distinction in 1972. Prof.Bhim Singh reminded the countrymen about secularism which appeared in 1947 while India was divided by Muslim brethren. The entire country was facing communal conflict in India on both sides. The world should remember that Kashmir had the majority of the Muslim population in Kashmir. It was only J&K which rose to the occasion and saved the minorities at that time. The world shall never forget that secularism ruled Kashmir even at that time. Prof.Bhim Singh appreciated Ms Mehbooba’s statement which she gave yesterday in Srinagar appreciating Mehbooba Mufti who followed Kashmiri leader Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah defended the Kashmiri Pandit community and Sikh fraternity in Kashmir. Prof.Bhim Singh said that the whole country and the ruling leadership in India should learn a lesson about how secularism and bhaichara were defended by the Kashmiri leadership and that most dangerous period, 1947.

Prof. Bhim Singh strongly condemned Navjot Sidhu’s assistants’ remarks on Kashmir

New Delhi/Jammu. August 25, 2021. Prof. Bhim Singh, President of J&K National Panthers Party strongly condemned the remarks made by Punjab Congress Chief Mr Navjot Singh Sidhu’s assistants Mali and Garg. Prof. Bhim  Singh who is known for his stand on Jammu and Kashmir said, it is unfortunate that a person of the status of Mr Sidhu, a hero of the people of India for his cricket excellence is using his assistants to make such statements about J&K which can be dangerous for the security and the unity of the State and harm the national security and integration of the people of J&K with the rest of the country. He advised Mr Sidhu to devote more time and his excellence in promoting cricket, the most popular sport in India and abroad. While one of his assistants Mali had claimed that “Kashmir is a country of Kashmiri people”, the other one Garg had taken a swipe at Punjab CM Amarinder Singh for criticising Pakistan. This is a conspiracy hatched by the ignorant people to destabilise Capt. Amarinder Singh for their own vested self-interests. Chief Minister of Punjab, Capt. Amarinder Singh has been a great leader and has sustained under all attacks and anti-people propaganda by BJP. Kashmir is not only for Kashmiri people, it is for all Indians as India is also for all Kashmiris as all Kashmiris are Indians for centuries. When Maharaja Hari Singh decided to go with India during the unfortunate division of the country, all Kashmiris including Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah decided to stand by India because he was an Indian first and Kashmiri later.  Prof. Bhim  Singh hoped that in the future Mr Sidhu would think and not allow his advisors to make such statements against national interest. He said that such statements issued by his assistants who have no locus standi in Punjab or India’s politics will hurt the country. Prof. Bhim  Singh hoped that Mr Sidhu being a patriot will never allow delivering any such statements on any national activity, which has been done by his assistants Mali and Garg. It is below Mr Sidhu’s heroic…

Prof. Bhim Singh said that the situation in J&K before August 5, 2019, was more peaceful and the people could walk in the streets. If there was any problem in communication or transport it was because of the Covid-19 pandemic. He said that the situation in J&K has gone much worse than it was before August 5, 2019. Prof. Bhim Singh questioned Prime Minister Modi ji to tell the people of India about the reason why the situation has gone much worse than before August 5, 2019. Also, we the residents of J&K and particularly all the political activists would like to know how many innocent people were killed after the Statehood was robbed by the Union Govt. and for what reason? He also hoped that Members of opposition political parties in Parliament should raise these issues asking the government as to how many people are killed in the streets by the militants and how many educational institutions have been working in J&K?  Prof. Bhim Singh wished that if he were Member of Parliament he should have asked this question from the ruling party members as to how many innocent people have been killed in Kashmir after the demolition of the Statehood of J&K. Prof. Bhim Singh has been agitating for securing justice, equal wages for equal work right since 1982 when he (Bhim Singh) was a sitting MLA in J&K. Prof. Bhim Singh conveyed to the President of India that J&K and Ladakh SPOs (Special Police Officers as they have been called) paid less than a daily wager on the streets. Many of them also lost their lives while fighting/resisting the militants and the law-breakers in J&K. It was because of the intervention of the Supreme Court of India that the wages of the SPOS were raised a bit. Prof. Bhim Singh has also settled the writ petition of the SPOs in the Supreme Court. The case was referred to the High Court of J&K. He urged the President of India for his urgent intervention so that all the SPOs shall be treated as regular policemen who have completed more than five years in regular service while fighting the militants and for the safety of the civilians as regular policemen have been doing as full-fledged policemen even sacrificing their lives without getting appropriate…

Jawaharlal Nehru till Dr Manmohan Singh. Where is the policy as well as India’s commitment to promote and strengthen the Non-Aligned Movement? Has the Modi government not committed this blunder by demolishing a strong movement-NAM in India’s foreign policy? ii).     Has Modi’s government not committed a blunder by a complete surrender of India’s foreign policy towards the White House, United States of America? iii).    India had strengthened relationships with the Arab League countries as well as Islamic countries of the world inside the United Nations and kept India’s flag high in our commitment to secularism which is co-opted in the Constitution of India? iv).    It is Modi’s government and foreign policy of BJP under Modi’s prime ministership which has demolished India’s foreign policy and weakened India’s relationship with the NAM countries as well as the Arab League. v).     It was India that stood for Palestine in November 1947 when Palestine was partitioned by the UNO.
