Imran Khan projects Pakistaniyat, Justice Katju reacts – Pakistan is a fake, artificial country

By Justice Markandey Katju Pakistaniyat ‘Pakistaniyat’, which Imran Khan has spoken of, is humbug. No soft image, project Pakistaniyat: Imran If you wish to promote a soft image, promote ‘Pakistaniat’: PM Imran Khan Mission Statement of the Indian Reunification Association Pakistan is a fake, artificial country, created by the British on the basis of the bogus 2 nation theory, and wicked divide and rule policy. Pakistan is really part of India, and will one day be peacefully reunited with it under a secular government. We share the same culture and were one from Mughal times. We are bound to be reunited, but it will take time, maybe 10-15 years or more, since those who have divided us do not want united India to emerge as a modern industrial giant ( for which we have all the potential ), like another China, since with our cheap labour we will undersell them, and they will not be able to face our competition. Hence they will tooth and nail oppose our reunification. See http://inreunification.com and my article ‘Truth about Pakistan’ online. Imran Khan’s bluster

By Justice Markandey Katju I had got a good impression of Prime Minister Imran Khan after the Pulwama attack in Kashmir, when he said that historical experience shows that wars have unpredictable outcomes, and a war will be no solution to the problems between India and Pakistan. He also said that Pakistan is willing to cooperate with India in any investigation about the incident, and that Pakistan too has suffered a lot due to terrorism. But subsequently my opinion of him has gone down, and his latest rant connecting rape with women’s dress is downright silly, to say the least. PM Imran Under Fire For Linking Rape To How Women Dress — Again To my mind the main ( though not only ) cause of rape is unemployment. Let me explain. Sex is a natural urge, and when a young man has reached a certain age, it usually becomes strong ( it is sometimes said that after food the next requirement is sex ). In conservative societies like in India and Pakistan, sex is ordinarily available only after marriage. Now no girl would marry an unemployed man. And when unemployment is widespread in society ( as it is in India and Pakistan ), it follows that a large number of young men are being deprived of sex. Since the sex instinct is strong in them, and they cannot get married ( due to unemployment ), they will often resort to rape, and this is the main reason for the large number of rapes in our countries. I make it clear that I am not justifying rape. It is a heinous crime, and must be severely punished. But it is bound to happen, for the reason abovementioned, however harsh we may make the law against it. I also do not say that employed men do not commit rape. I am only saying that the main cause of rape is unemployment, which is on record levels in our countries. So if we wish to really reduce rapes substantially we must create a society free of the scourge of unemployment. How many women…

Dark days are ahead in Pakistan

By Justice Markandey Katju The Pak Govt and Tehreek-e-Labaik Party (TLP ) have agreed to place the issue of expelling the French Ambassador before the Pak Parliament at 3 p.m. today ( 3.30 p.m. Indian time ). I think any MP in Pakistan pleading against expulsion of the French Ambassador is placing his life at risk and becoming ‘wajib al watl’ ( deserving to die ), like those members of the French National Convention who in January 1793 voted to spare King Louis 16 from the guillotine. TLP leader Rizvi, by demanding expulsion of the French Ambassador, has caught Imran Khan by his throat, and is twisting it slowly but surely. If the demand is accepted, all Western nations ( including USA, UK, Germany, Italy, etc ) may cut off diplomatic ties, trade, and aid to Pakistan, which will swiftly  bring Pakistan to its knees financially. But if it is not accepted, Imran Khan will be branded as a collaborator with those who have done ‘ghustaqi’ ( insulted ) with the ‘shaan’ (honour) of the Prophet. Imran Khan thought that by entering into an agreement with TLP he could ward off the danger. In fact it was like Neville Chamberlain signing the Munich Pact with Hitler in 1938, and announcing “ It is peace in our times “. Churchill rightly called it a dishonourable surrender, and the Second World War started the next year. Imran Khan forgot that surrender to blackmailers like the reactionary TLP bigots only invites further blackmails. He will soon realise this. I believe Imran Khan’s days are now numbered. What will be his replacement ? In my opinion it will either be army rule, or a TLP Govt ( a lot of Pak MPs, whether of PTI, PMLN, or PPP may soon switch bandwagons and join the TLP, to show they are real ‘ashiq-e-rasool’ ). The TLP is as feudal minded and reactionary as the Taliban. So Pakistan is headed towards the Middle Ages, and we may soon see sharia imposed in full rigour in Pakistan, with women stoned to death for adultery and limbs of…

Justice Katju asks 6 questions to Imran Khan

Some questions to Imran Khan By Justice Markandey Katju Dear Prime Minister Khan Everyone, including me, heard your speech in the Pakistan National Assembly after getting the vote of confidence ( which had been boycotted by the opposition parties ). The thrust of your speech was about the corruption done by the leaders of the opposition parties. Now I am posing these 6 questions to you : 1. Why did you not mention about the massive corruption by the Pakistan armed forces, details of which are in this article I wrote in theweek.in : https://www.theweek.in/news/india/2019/08/26/opinion-the-truth-about-the-pakistan-military.html Is corruption by the armed forces of Pakistan, not corruption? Or is corruption only that done by civilians? Since you profess to be a crusader against corruption, surely you should also stop corruption by the armed forces. Or are you scared to speak of this because then you may meet the fate of the late lamented Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto? 2. What about corruption by your own party MPs, those dubious ‘electables’ ( sugar barons and other shady businessmen ) to whom you gave PTI tickets in the parliamentary elections ? Have they become ‘doodh ka dhula‘ overnight ? 3. Prices of essential commodities like foodstuffs and fuel have skyrocketed. What have you done to end this nightmare for the common man? Or will you keep blaming the previous governments? 4. You spoke of the glory of Islam, Allah, the Prophet and Madina ki Riyasat in the beginning of your speech, but how will this solve the massive problem of unemployment and lack of proper healthcare and good education for the masses in Pakistan? By shouting ‘ La ilaha il Allah ’ from the rooftops? 5. There was the only fulmination by you about the corruption of the opposition parties, but why did you not also announce in your speech that you will abolish the inhuman laws against the Ahmadis, and the blasphemy law which is used to persecute minorities? ( see my article ‘Barbaric persecution of Ahmadis in Pakistan’ published in rabwah.net ). Why did you give a PTI ticket to that rascal Amir Liaquat,…
