Who betrayed PM’s assurance? Asks Prof. Bhim Singh

Prof. Bhim Singh who attended Delhi Conference called by PM blamed Union Govt. for its failure   Jammu/Srinagar (J&K) November 10, 2021: The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi who convened an all-party meet on J&K in New Delhi on June 24, 2021, has reacted sharply blaming the Union Govt. on the ruling parties in Delhi for total failure to implement the assurance given by the Prime Minister in his concluding remarks on June 24, 2021. Prof. Bhim Singh, the President of J&K National Panthers Party (JKNPP) who was one of the invitees who participated in the conference. In his strong reaction as reported in the press said, “J&K Panthers Party Chief Bhim Singh said he demanded full statehood and elections and that a delimitation process should be initiated only after an elected government is in place. Singh added he also complained about the absence of representatives from Ladakh”. Prof. Bhim Singh while addressing the Working Committee members of JKNPP at Jammu expressed shock on the failure of the Union Govt. to implement the hard expressed assurance of the Prime Minister. The NPP Supremo told the senior Panthers Party leaders that the negative thinking leadership in the Central Govt. failed to understand the message which Prime Minister Modi had conveyed to the people of Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh, though, the leadership of Ladakh was not invited at all and the Prime Minister failed that day to answer this polite question raised by Prof. Bhim Singh. Prof. Bhim Singh urged the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi that his assurance to restore peace in J&K shall be implemented yet it never happened. He regretted that the BJP and other supporters in the BJP never advised the Prime Minister to implement his assurance. Modi Govt. should keep in mind to not violate Fundamental Rights of people of India

New Delhi/Jammu/Srinagar. October 1, 2021: Prof. Bhim Singh, President of J&K National Panthers Party & Sr. Advocate in the Supreme Court of India referring to an interview between NDTV and Mr Craig Mokhiber, Director of the New York office of the UN’s High Commissioner for Human Rights, in which Mr Mokhiber has referred to the conditions in India regarding the human rights of the people, said that though India has a binding treaty with the United Nations that the fundamental rights of the people of the country will not be violated still  UN does not have any reason to interfere in the internal matters of any Member country. No doubt, Mr Singh said that it is the primary function of the United Nations to make sure that the Member Nations are respecting the fundamental rights of its citizens and no atrocities are committed to infringe citizens’ civil and other rights.           Prof. Bhim Singh said that the Indian judiciary starting from Supreme Court to Magistrate Courts are well-equipped and keep a constant watch on the government and any other organization to make sure that people do not lose their fundamental rights as enshrined in the Constitution of India. Prof. Bhim Singh strongly condemned Navjot Sidhu’s assistants’ remarks on Kashmir

New Delhi/Jammu. August 25, 2021. Prof. Bhim Singh, President of J&K National Panthers Party strongly condemned the remarks made by Punjab Congress Chief Mr Navjot Singh Sidhu’s assistants Mali and Garg. Prof. Bhim  Singh who is known for his stand on Jammu and Kashmir said, it is unfortunate that a person of the status of Mr Sidhu, a hero of the people of India for his cricket excellence is using his assistants to make such statements about J&K which can be dangerous for the security and the unity of the State and harm the national security and integration of the people of J&K with the rest of the country. He advised Mr Sidhu to devote more time and his excellence in promoting cricket, the most popular sport in India and abroad. While one of his assistants Mali had claimed that “Kashmir is a country of Kashmiri people”, the other one Garg had taken a swipe at Punjab CM Amarinder Singh for criticising Pakistan. This is a conspiracy hatched by the ignorant people to destabilise Capt. Amarinder Singh for their own vested self-interests. Chief Minister of Punjab, Capt. Amarinder Singh has been a great leader and has sustained under all attacks and anti-people propaganda by BJP. Kashmir is not only for Kashmiri people, it is for all Indians as India is also for all Kashmiris as all Kashmiris are Indians for centuries. When Maharaja Hari Singh decided to go with India during the unfortunate division of the country, all Kashmiris including Sheikh Mohd. India must knock doors of the UN to wake up the world to the human massacre in Afghanistan

New Delhi, August 16, 2021: Prof. Bhim Singh, President of National Panthers Party & Executive Chairman of World Peace Council (India) today urged Govt. of India to rise to the situation in Kabul, Afghanistan where unlimited members of humanity are being killed like butterflies in Kabul, Afghanistan and the world is keeping quiet. India has always stood for humanity and human values all over the world whether it was Korea, Palestine, Congo or elsewhere. How tragic and beyond human imagination that human beings were killed and still being killed by the Taliban terrorists. Prof. Bhim Singh said that the United Nations should have intervened by now to save innocent human beings, diplomats, people in the streets and everywhere. There is no voice before the United Nations. Alas! Prof. Bhim Singh expressed shock at the silence over this human massacre in Afghanistan. BJP claiming that normalcy in J&K has improved after the abrogation of Article 370

Jammu/Srinagar (J&K) July 29, 2021: “Entire leadership of BJP from the streets to the Parliament has been beating loud drums that the situation in J&K has improved and there is the downfall in militancy also. The headlines have been quoting Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi and other BJP leaders that the situation in J&K is going more normal than before.” Prof. Bhim Singh, President of J&K National Panthers Party (JKNPP) has questioned Govt. of India which made a loud noise in Parliament that Statehood of J&K shall be restored when normalcy shall be back in J&K. NPP Supremo questioned the BJP leadership whether normalcy is restored or there is no occasion to restore Statehood in J&K till the so-called normalcy is restored. Prof. Bhim Singh said that the situation in J&K before August 5, 2019, was more peaceful and the people could walk in the streets. If there was any problem in communication or transport it was because of the Covid-19 pandemic. He said that the situation in J&K has gone much worse than it was before August 5, 2019. NPP Supremo urges President of India for urgent intervention to regularize all SPOs in J&K

Daily wagers in police Jammu/Srinagar (J&K) July 28, 2021: Prof. Bhim Singh, President of J&K National Panthers Party, who is also Executive Chairman of State Legal Aid Committee, J&K has urged Shri Ramnath Kovind, the Hon’ble President of India for his urgent intervention to ensure that long-awaited justice is done to police SPOs in J&K who have been working as active policemen for years and still have not been regularized in J&K and Ladakh. Prof. Bhim Singh has been agitating for securing justice, equal wages for equal work right since 1982 when he (Bhim Singh) was a sitting MLA in J&K. Prof. Bhim Singh also moved a writ petition seeking equal salary (wages) for equal work as the SPOs in full police uniform and equipment functioning as a policeman at all levels in J&K and Ladakh. It was the Legal Aid Committee which is headed by Prof. Bhim Singh as its Executive Chairman which has been agitating from the floors of the J&K Assembly to the floors of the High Court and Supreme Court seeking justice and equity for the J&K SPOs who were paid poorly which was not equivalent to the wages of a daily wager. Prof. Bhim Singh conveyed to the President of India that J&K and Ladakh SPOs (Special Police Officers as they have been called) paid less than a daily wager on the streets. Many of them also lost their lives while fighting/resisting the militants and the law-breakers in J&K. It was because of the intervention of the Supreme Court of India that the wages of the SPOS were raised a bit. Prof. Bhim Singh has also settled the writ petition of the SPOs in the Supreme Court. Jammu/Srinagar, July 12, 2021: Prof.Bhim Singh, President, J&K National Panthers Party & Sr. Advocate, Supreme Court of India has demanded that the Union of India should convey to the media and the general public how much money/expenses are incurred in a year on the security of Prime Minister, his Cabinet Ministers, opposition leaders and others. Prof.Bhim Singh said that the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi shall direct the Home Ministry to disclose how much money is being spent every month on the security of the VIPs including the Prime Minister, his cabinet, opposition leaders and others who are protected.  Prof.Bhim Singh who is also a Sr. Advocate in the Supreme Court & LL.M from London University with distinction hoped that the Prime Minister shall be pleased to direct the Ministry of Home Affairs to convey this message to all citizens of India who are agitated because of the attacks by the hoodlums, thieves and rapists on them and the police not being available in time. Achievements of Modi Rule? NPP expresses shock on Modi’s 7 years failed rule: Bhim Singh

Prof. Bhim Singh has asked the Govt. of India to justify why weather report on Assam and Nagaland has been ignored from the Indian bulletin.

NPP protest India for ignoring weather report on Eastern region, preferring report on Gilgit Muzaffarabad PoK Jammu, 08th June 2020 : Prof. Bhim Singh expressed surprise that All India Radio news bulletin in the morning and evening after the close of National News Bulletins in English and Hindi has been widely giving weather reports on all important regions of India. It has included Gilgit (Pakistan) and Muzaffarabad (PoK). AIR bulletins give news on weather reports in these two occupied areas by Pakistan. Gilgit, Pakistan has declared as one of its occupied regions whereas Muzaffarabad is called as western district of PoK, Pakistan calls as ‘Azad Kashmir’. Prof. Bhim Singh has asked the Govt. of India to justify why weather report on Assam and Nagaland has been ignored from the Indian bulletin. He urged the Prime Minister of India to explain why weather reports have been ignored in AIR on Eastern region of India. Whereas report on Gilgit, illegally occupied by Pakistan since 1948 after the State Accession was signed by Maharaja Hari Singh. Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan has declared as its province. The State Legal Aid Committee, Jammu & Kashmir in urgent meeting today at Jammu decided to move the Supreme Court of India for the protection of Fundamental Rights guaranteed in Chapter-III of the Constitution of India. The State of Jammu & Kashmir was unconstitutionally and with malafide intention reduced to a Union Territory status which was totally unconstitutional, illegal and a malafide act of the Union of India to destroy the status/statehood of Jammu & Kashmir which was founded by Maharaja Gulab Singh in 1846. NPP Supremo expressed anguish on the letter addressed to the public by Prime Minister Modi

Prof. Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of J&K National Panthers Party and Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court of India wrote a strong letter to Prime Minister Modi in response to the Prime Minister’s open letter to the countrymen. NPP Supremo in his open reply to the Prime Minister, Modi Ji, has raised the pertinent issues/subjects concerning public interest which have been either ignored or diluted or even crushed by the Prime Minister. In his letter, NPP Supremo sent his open letter to the Prime Minister in 12 points ranging from Ram Janam Bhumi to the foreign policy of India and the consequential effects on India’s foreign policy and Non-Alignment. The letter is produced below for public opinion and information of all: “Hon’ble Prime Minister, Modi Sahib, It is my pleasure to read this morning your letter as Pradhan Sevak to the citizens of India about your government’s one year achievements. I feel that translator has not been very careful in translating your letter into English. However I would like to appreciate your letter and your efforts to plead for your government’s case before 130 crores. I would like to express my views as one of the humble citizen of India in Jammu & Kashmir in the following paragraphs. ‘You have mentioned that your government scrapped Article 370 from the Indian Constitution. This movement the Panthers Party has been following since its creation in 1982 seeking amendment in Article 370. It is surprising that the Instrument of Accession that was signed by Maharaja of J&K in 1947 has been accepted nor its command has been amended. The Maharaja signed the Instrument of Accession on October 26, 1947 retaining three subjects namely Defence, Foreign Affairs and Communications with Allied Matters. You have nor your government has mentioned a word regarding the Instrument of Accession vis-à-vis State of Jammu & Kashmir. ‘Your government has retained Article 370 (1) without referring about the status of the Instrument of Accession. ‘That without integrating the State of Jammu & Kashmir, you have demolished the statehood of Jammu & Kashmir by converting only one half of it…

NPP Supremo challenges Domicile Law in J&K, inducting outsiders in jobs, unconstitutional

Restoration J&K status Jammu, 25th May 2020. Prof. Bhim Singh, Founder of J&K National Panthers Party & Senior Advocate of Supreme Court of India has challenged the latest Domicile Law in J&K, inducted forcibly by the Union of India to bypass permanent residents rules in J&K thus depriving the permanent residents of Jammu & Kashmir of their jobs and work in the government offices even in Class-IV, Class-III & Class-II jobs in the government in J&K. NPP Supremo questioned as to how Parliament and under what rule could reject or approve the Instrument of Accession signed by Maharaja Hari Singh denying three subjects, Defence, Foreign Affairs & Communications with Allied Matters to the Govt. of India, after the death of Maharaja Hari Singh. The Instrument of Accession could have been amended/improved/changed by the Parliament of India through an appropriate motion in the Parliament under rules of procedure only. The Instrument of Accession could not have been scratched by any authority without the procedure that was mandatory under the Constitution. Prof. Bhim Singh a Barrister at Law, post-graduated in law also from London University in 1972, presently, he is also Executive Chairman of State Legal Aid Committee, J&K besides Senior Advocate in the Supreme Court of India. Prof. Bhim Singh is also a permanent resident of Jammu & Kashmir by birth in Jammu & Kashmir, the state which was founded by the first Dogra ruler, Maharaja Gulab Singh in 1846, he comes from the family of first Dogra General Zorawar Singh, declared that the Panthers Party which was founded in 1982 shall save the integrity of Jammu & Kashmir and Fundamental Rights of its permanent residents which have been recognized by the Constituent Assembly of India when Constitution of India was framed and finalized in November 1949. Hon’ble Justice Gogoi ji, This urgent letter, I am addressing to your honour as an ordinary citizen of India who has been practicing in the Supreme Court of India for 45 years and had very important occasions to appear before your honour in the Supreme Court. Not only me but several noted lawyers from Supreme Court and other states have felt very sad to find your name among the nominated Members of Rajya Sabha (Parliament). Many jurists from Assam itself have conveyed their urgent call to urge Your Excellency not to accept this offer for many reasons which need not to be written or expressed through the contents of this letter today. There has been a convention that the judges retiring from the Apex Court shall not accept any favour or exclusive job with the government or any other agency operating in cooperation of the government. It has never happened before as per information and my knowledge. I request your honour to consider this hidden voice of the intelligentsia and jurists and send a polite letter to the Chairman, Rajya Sabha, about your inability to continue as a Member of Rajya Sabha to ensure credibility of the highest judicial institution in Asia.
