Students Exams : Prof. Bhim Singh has made a strong appeal to the President of
India for his urgent intervention in Jammu and Kashmir

New Delhi,
October 22, 2019. The Chief Patron of J&K National Panthers Party, Prof.
Bhim Singh has made a strong appeal to Shri Ramnath Kovind, the President of
India for his urgent intervention in Jammu and Kashmir to save academic careers
of the school students who have not been given an adequate opportunity to sit
in their respective examinations in schools, both Govt. and Private because of
the unrest which continues to disturb the law and order situation in Jammu and
Kashmir and particularly in the Kashmir Valley since August 4, 2019.

Serious
situation particularly in the Valley of Kashmir

Prof. Bhim
Singh has conveyed to the President of India the present serious situation
particularly in the Valley of Kashmir as well as in Poonch and Doda Districts
of Jammu province forcing educational institutions to stop working.

The NPP
Supremo submitted the President of India that it is only the President whose
intervention at this juncture in Jammu and Kashmir can save the careers, future
of the going school children who have not been able to sit in their
examinations. The students of 10 class as well as those who had to sit in their
Higher Secondary exams have not been able either to prepare for the exam or to
sit and take their respective examinations in the schools and other areas
defined to hold such examination.

Prof. Bhim
Singh urged the President of India to issue appropriate instructions to the
Governor of J&K to hold an urgent meeting with the entire leadership of
J&K as well as the social organizations of the parents looking after the
interest of the students.

He said that the present anarchy spread in Jammu and Kashmir shall not allow the situation to get normalize and the families cannot afford to look after their school going children either. Prof. Bhim Singh made a strong appeal to the President of India to constitute a committee of advisors in J&K from all recognized political parties who shall assist the administration in resolving minor conflicts. At least the parents should have confidence that their children shall be saved if they are sent to the schools or to sit in exam. The present anarchy and disorder needs to be resolved which is possible only through the cooperation of the parents and political leadership from the district to provincial levels.

If the students do not get a chance or given an appropriate opportunity to appear in their respective examinations, they shall not loose only one year, many of them may loose their entire futures and opportunities in life to grow and work for the development of the society.

The President is urged to invite representatives of the political parties of J&K

Prof. Bhim Singh urged the President to take a bold and wise step directing immediate release of all politicians detained under PSA including the youth and minors. He submitted the President that the prisons/jails/detentions nor deterrence shall inspire the people of J&K to fight for peace and tranquility jointly. The young students, studying in the schools and colleges should be provided all kinds of assistance psychological security so that they are encouraged to take to their studies and sit in exams. The President is urged to invite representatives of the political parties of J&K as well as those representing the youth and students, shall be the parents. This is the only way to save Jammu and Kashmir from the highly dangerous situation and save the children of Jammu and Kashmir. Cooperation of parents is inevitable.
