New Delhi, 25 June 2023: Justice Markandey Katju is continuously commenting on the ongoing upheaval in Pakistan. Now Justice Katju has written a letter to Chief Justice Bandial & his Companion Judges of the Pakistan Supreme Court asking them to show some grit.

CJP Bandial & his Companion Judges of the Pakistan Supreme Court
Brothers, why are you wasting your time hearing the case relating to trial of civilians in military courts when Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has announced that the govt will not accept the court verdict, like the verdict fixing 14h May for Punjab elections ? Why continue with this disgraceful drama ? Dont you all have any self respect ? Or do you only care for your salaries, perks, and pensions ?
If I had been in your place I would have closed down all courts in Pakistan immediately sine die until the govt agreed to accept court verdicts.
Show some grit and do that.
Otherwise, pack up your bags, resign, and go home. You have disgraced yourselves enough
