The last date for submission of application for NMMSS for the year 2022-23 is 15 November 2022. Under the ‘National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme’, scholarships are provided to meritorious students from economically weaker sections to prevent them from dropping out in class VIII and to encourage them to continue their education at the secondary level. One lakh new scholarships are provided every year to selected students of class IX studying in state government, government aided and local body schools and the same is continued/renewed from class X to class XII. The amount of the scholarship is Rs 12000 per annum.
