Supreme Court termed the process of abolishing the 4% Muslim quota in Karnataka as ‘flawed’
The Supreme Court has taken strong objection to the manner in which the Karnataka government scrapped the four per cent quota for Muslims and classified them as Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), saying the decision-making process was “volatile and flawed”. The Karnataka government told the apex court that no admission or appointment would be done till April 18 on the basis of the Government Order (GO), which ended the 4 per cent quota for Muslims.
