Steps were taken by the Government to ensure drug availability for treatment of Mucormycosis

A sudden increase in the demand has been observed in some States for Amphotericin-B, which is being actively prescribed by the physicians to the patients suffering from Mucormycosis, which has been seen as a post COVID complication. Through active measures to augment production, and import and ensure equitable distribution, the Government has been able to mobilise over 6.67 lakh vials of the Amphotericin B for patients in the states and UTs and Central Health Institutes, in addition to other drugs such as Amphotericin Deoxycholate and Posaconazole being used for the treatment of this disease.

Government releases Desertification and Land Degradation Atlas of India

Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Shri Babul Supriyo today called for generating awareness towards preventing and restoring land degradation for healthier and sustainable ecosystems. Speaking at a virtual event celebration of the Desertification and Drought Day, Shri Supriyo said, this will help better economy and overall human wellbeing.

The Desertification and Drought day was commemorated by the Ministry, with an aim to generate large scale awareness towards understanding the key role of land in all environmental and economic concerns, that world, as well as India is facing now-a days.

CBSE submits evaluation criteria for Class 12 result 2021 in Supreme Court

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today released the Class 12 evaluation criteria or the final strategy through which it will assess Class 12 students in the Supreme Court.

The Class 12th result will be based on the Class 10th component (30 per cent) based on the best three performing subjects in the board exams, class 11 component (30 per cent) will be based on the final exam and class 12 component (40 per cent) based on unit test/mid-term/pre-board.

India calls upon Pakistan to comply with ICJ judgement in Kulbhushan Jadhav case

India has called upon Pakistan to take appropriate steps to address the shortcomings in the ICJ (Review and Re-consideration) Bill, 2020 and to comply with the judgements of the International Court of Justice in letter and spirit. The Bill has been passed by the National Assembly of Pakistan. Briefing media on Thursday, External Affairs Ministry Spokesman Arindam Bagchi said, the Bill codified into law the earlier ordinance with all its shortcomings. He said, it does not create a machinery to facilitate effective review and reconsideration of Kulbhushan Jadhav’s case as mandated by the International Court of Justice.

KVIC Records Highest Ever Turnover in FY 2020-21 Despite Covid-19 Pandemic

In the year 2020-21, KVIC registered a gross annual turnover of Rs. 95,741.74crores, as compared to Rs. 88,887 crores turnover in 2019-20, thus, registering an increase of 7.71%.

Govt extends validity of motor vehicle documents till September 30

Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has written to Director Generals of Police, Principal Secretaries of Transport Departments and Transport Commissioners of all States and UTs for extension of documents related to Motor Vehicles Act, 1998 till September this year.
