People of both countries have declared themselves victorious in this war, and are demonstrating.
What is the truth ? Who really won ?
The truth is that the real victors are people of some foreign country who have very cleverly pitted us against each other.
The reality is that the militaries of both India and Pakistan are unable to manufacture their heavy weapons, such as jet fighters, missiles, tanks, large guns, naval aircraft carriers, submarines, etc, because they do not have the technology to manufacture them. Hence they have to buy them at heavy cost from foreign arms manufacturers. For instance, the French Rafale jet fighter which India uses, costs $288 million each.
These foreign arms manufacturing companies are the real winners of the recent India-Pakistan war because their arms sales will increase greatly from this war, which will make them earn huge profits.
The reality is that both India and Pakistan are poor countries, with widespread and abject poverty, massive unemployment, appalling level of child malnutrition, almost total lack of proper healthcare and good education for the masses, etc. These are our real enemies. But instead of jointly fighting them hand in hand, we are made to fight each other, wasting our precious and scarce resources, using these costly foreign weapons.
Are we both not like monkeys who are made to fight each other by a 'madaari' sitting abroad and laughing at us, thinking that we are so stupid that we can be made to fight each other so easily ?
