The condemnation of Iran and India's co-sponsorship of the UN Security Council Resolution of March 11, 2026, has raised serious questions about global diplomacy. This article analyzes the impartiality of the UN, superpower politics, and India's changing international role.
The UN Security Council is just a hollow body, and India is irrelevant

The UN Security Council is just a hollow body, and India is irrelevant

The UN Security Council resolution of 11.3.2026, condemning the victim country Iran, instead of the aggressor countries USA and Israel, turns facts and logic on their head, and is a classic example of 'ulta chor kotwal ko daante '.

The resolution, co-sponsored by India, marks the death knell of the United Nations, as Its figleaf of neutrality and impartiality has finally been torn off, and it has been exposed to be, what it always was : a tool of powerful nations, to keep weaker ones under subjugation and servility

The resolution condemns Iran for 'egregious' attacks on several middle east countries, alleging that Iran had also attacked civilians and residential areas, when the truth is that Iran only attacked US bases in these countries from where attacks on Iran were made, and also US assets like the US Embassy in Riyadh, Aramco Refinery etc. There was not a word of condemnation in the resolution of the killing of Ayatollah Khameini and several high Iranian officials, killing of 165 Iranian schoolgirls by US/Israeli bombs, attacks on Iranian hospitals, radio stations, etc

It was shocking and disgraceful that India co-sponsored this resolution.

There was a time when India's voice mattered in the world, as it was truly non-aligned, e.g. in the Korean war when Prime Minister Nehru called for a ceasefire

Today India is totally irrelevant in the world, as explained :

How does it lie in our mouth to condemn the atrocities and oppression of Hindu, Sikh and Christian minorities in Pakistan and Bangladesh, when we oppress and commit atrocities on our own Muslim and Christian minorities?

The UN is now just a hollow, laughable, body, and India is irrelevant
