CPI protests in Delhi against every day increasing prices of Petrol- Diesel

New Delhi, 20th June 2020: The CPI DELHI STATE COUNCIL today since morning started protesting in Delhi against every day increasing prices of Petrol- Diesel. This Protest is done today on the CPI NATIONAL Call to observe Protest Day today all over India.

In Delhi in view of the severity of Corona spread physical distancing was observed Prof. Dinesh Varshney, Secretary CPI Delhi State Council, Sam Mathew Secretary CPI South Delhi district houses, B.D. Dhyani Secretary South West Delhi district protested outside their houses. Keher Singh Secretary, Sashi Gautam assistant secretary East Delhi district held Protest at two different places, youth leader sadan Rai, Shankar Lal district Secretary West Delhi district at Karampura, In North East Delhi district at gamahri Protest was led by district Secretary Absar Ahmed, assistant secretary Raj Kumar and Mohd. Ikram Secretary City district, Baban Kumar Singh Office Secretary CPI Delhi State protested at Jama Masjid party Office. Mangolpuri CPI branch protest led by Rajesh Kashyap and Mukesh Kashyap and Vikas Sharma trade union leader held two different places, at Sangam Vihar branch Com. Parvez Alam held protest along with AIYF girl comrades, at Okhla Muslim Mohd,  mohmad Azam ,president okhala branch ,Sameer Naushad, vice president Delhi state AIYF at okhala , and at East Delhi  AIYF also held Protest. Sushil Kumar, Assistant Secretary CPI East Delhi district who is in Jharkhand protested there itself. These protests will continue today.

The CPI during Protest demanded that severe hikes in Petrol diesel prices must immediately be withdrawn because its hikes have led to an everyday increasing price of essential commodities which have already broken backs of lakhs of workers who lost jobs and even the public in general. The Prices mechanism of the petroleum products must immediately be taken over by the government. The crude oil international prices are lowest at present and in India it is highest in retails.
