Jammu, 20th June 2020: That people in Jammu and Kashmir are suffering from three coronas! One from nature, another from the Electricity Department and third from the militants. The Electricity Department has dashed three to four months of electricity bills irrespective of the fact whether people were getting any electricity/power during the past three-four months. The people in J&K, particularly in the Valley of Kashmir have been under the terror of the Electricity Department when electricity bills have started pouring in carrying enormous bills since February this year. The Electricity Department has not cared to work out the days and the weeks when people in Jammu and Kashmir had no electricity and they were suffering for want of power besides under the terror of Coronavirus sent by nature.

Prof. Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of J&K National Panthers Party has dispatched heavy representation to Lt. Governor, Mr. G.C. Muru urging for the intervention of the Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir which has been under President’s Rule since J&K lost its statehood.

Prof.Bhim Singh has urged the Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi for his intervention also to fulfil the promise that Govt. of India had made with the people of J&K in particular that no citizen shall be made to suffer for want of payment of electricity charges during the months.

Prof.Bhim Singh hoped that the President of India, Mr. Ramnath Kovind with his intervention may be pleased to forego the pending electricity bills for domestic use in Jammu and Kashmir in the interest of justice and equity with the residents of Jammu and Kashmir who have already lost the statehood.
