NPP protest India for ignoring weather report on Eastern region, preferring report on Gilgit Muzaffarabad PoK
Jammu, 08th June 2020 : Prof. Bhim Singh expressed surprise that All India Radio news bulletin in the morning and evening after the close of National News Bulletins in English and Hindi has been widely giving weather reports on all important regions of India. It has included Gilgit (Pakistan) and Muzaffarabad (PoK). AIR bulletins give news on weather reports in these two occupied areas by Pakistan. Gilgit, Pakistan has declared as one of its occupied regions whereas Muzaffarabad is called as western district of PoK, Pakistan calls as ‘Azad Kashmir’.
Prof. Bhim Singh has asked the Govt. of India to justify why weather report on Assam and Nagaland has been ignored from the Indian bulletin.
He urged the Prime Minister of India to explain why weather reports have been ignored in AIR on Eastern region of India. Whereas report on Gilgit, illegally occupied by Pakistan since 1948 after the State Accession was signed by Maharaja Hari Singh. Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan has declared as its province. AIR is highlighting weather reports in its bulletin after every news bulletin in All India Radio (AIR) whereas Assam/Manipur/Nagaland is ignored in weather report by AIR.
The State Legal Aid Committee, Jammu & Kashmir in urgent meeting today at Jammu decided to move the Supreme Court of India for the protection of Fundamental Rights guaranteed in Chapter-III of the Constitution of India. The State of Jammu & Kashmir was unconstitutionally and with malafide intention reduced to a Union Territory status which was totally unconstitutional, illegal and a malafide act of the Union of India to destroy the status/statehood of Jammu & Kashmir which was founded by Maharaja Gulab Singh in 1846. More than one half of the State has been under the illegal and unconstitutional occupation of Pakistan and China since 1948. Prof. Bhim Singh, Senior Advocate Supreme Court of India and Founder of J&K National Panthers Party has made an urgent appeal to the President of India for his intervention for the Union of entire State of Jammu & Kashmir which extends to an area of nearly 84,000 square miles.
NPP Supremo expressed surprise on how the Govt. of India headed by a BJP Prime Minister could afford to surrender nearly half of the State Territory to Pakistan and China. Reducing Jammu & Kashmir as a Union Territory has reduced its (State’s) legal right to claim the return the occupied Territories of Jammu & Kashmir by Pakistan and China. This case, he said, is pending before the United Nations as India had filed a case against Pakistan in 1948 before the United Nations seeking return of the Territories illegally occupied by Pakistan and others. The case is still pending before United Nations it is because of the direction of the United Nations to Pakistan to vacate all illegally occupied Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and return to India as Jammu & Kashmir had legally acceded to the Union of India in 1947 when the ruler of Jammu & Kashmir, Maharaja Hari Singh had signed the Instrument of Accession with India on 26th October, 1947. Pakistan had occupied Gilgit-Baltistan (about 33,000 square miles of J&K State). This Territory was occupied by Pakistan after the Accession of Jammu & Kashmir with the Union of India.
Prof. Bhim Singh expressed surprise on India’s silence on the Instrument of Accession, Pakistan’s illegal occupation of J&K Territory in Gilgit & Baltistan inside the Indian Parliament as well as in United Nations.
Prof. Bhim Singh has also written a letter in this regard to the President of India and Speaker of Parliament of India seeking information as All India Radio has ignored Eastern region (Assam/Nagaland/Manipur), but included Muzaffarabad (PoK) and Gilgit which was occupied by Pakistan after the signing of Instrument of Accession in 1947 on Jammu & Kashmir.
