Tweedledum and Tweedledee

Responding to a demand of a BJP MLA in the Tamilnadu State Legislative Assembly that the Government of India should be called the Central Government, the Chief Minister of Tamilnadu, M.K. Stalin has said he will call the Central Government the Union Government.

TN govt will refer to Indian Govt as Union govt: TN CM MK Stalin in Assembly

But how does it matter what one calls the Government of India ?

The test of every political act or system is whether it raises the standard of living of the people, and gives them better lives. In other words, does it reduce poverty, unemployment, malnourishment, lack of proper healthcare and good education, price rise, farmers distress, etc.

From that viewpoint, it is wholly irrelevant what one calls the Government of India, and the difference between Central Govt and Union Govt is Tweedledum and Tweedledee.

Such a demand of the BJP MLA and the response by the Chief Minister shows that both are demagogues having nothing in their heads.
