Indian Council of Agricultural Research signs an MOU with Amazon Kisan to Empower Farmers

Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi signed a MoU with Amazon Kisan to combine strengths and create synergy between the two organizations for guiding the farmers on scientific cultivation of different crops for optimum yield and income. ICAR will provide technological backstopping to the farmers through Amazon’s network. It will improve farmers’ livelihood and boost crop yield. This MoU in farmer’s partnership with the Amazon Kisan program will help ensure access to high-quality fresh produce for consumers across India, including through Amazon Fresh.

Dr Himanshu Pathak, Secretary DARE & Director General ICAR, on this occasion, emphasized secondary agriculture for better remuneration for the farmers. He further highlighted the importance and role of critical inputs in agriculture and season-based crop plans. He mentioned that ICAR will collaborate with Amazon for technologies, capacity building and transfer of new knowledge.

IICA and RRU sign MoU for academic and research collaboration

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) and Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) today.

The MoU intends to synergise the professional capabilities of IICA and RRU towards capacity building, education, research and consulting in the domain of Internal Security, Financial Crimes, Law Enforcement, Corporate fraud and other subject matters common to their mandate and objectives. The MoU also provides for the exchange of knowledge and resources between IICA and RRU for conducting research, training and consultancy.

Dr Paul commended the speed and scale of the programme and said, “A new connection is being added every second and transforming public health in India today.”

Manipur violence: CBI registers 6 FIRs, begins probe into alleged conspiracy

According to media reports, the CBI has constituted a special team and registered six FIRs to probe the alleged conspiracy related to ethnic violence in Manipur.

Three including a woman killed, and two were injured in fresh violence in Manipur

In a fresh incident of violence in restive Manipur, at least three people, including a woman, were killed by suspected militants in Manipur’s Khoken village today. Apart from this, two others were injured in the attack. As per media reports, the suspected militants and the victims belong to different communities. The militants, reportedly dressed in khaki, reached the village in a military vehicle on Friday morning and fired at the villagers with automatic rifles.

Fire breaks out at Delhi hospital, 20 newborns rescued

According to the information received, 20 newborns were rescued safely after a fire broke out in a children’s hospital in Delhi. There is no news of any casualty.

Karnataka government to review handing over of government properties to RSS, Sangh Parivar
