Indian Naval Ship Ranvir, of the Eastern Fleet under the aegis of the Eastern Naval Command arrived at Chattogram, Bangladesh on 29 Jul 24 as part of an Operational Deployment. The ship was accorded a warm welcome by the Bangladesh Navy. The visit by the ship comes just after the state visit of Ms Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of Bangladesh to India from 21 - 22 Jun 24.

General Upendra Dwivedi, PVSM, AVSM assumed charge as the 30th Chief of Army Staff (COAS) today. General Upendra Dwivedi is an accomplished military leader with over 40 years of service in the Armed Forces. General Dwivedi is an alumnus of Sainik School, Rewa (Madhya Pradesh). He was commissioned into the Regiment of Jammu and Kashmir Rifles in 1984. Central government will launch special campaign to redress the grievances of pensioners

A special campaign for grievance redressal of family pensioners will be launched on Monday by the Central Government.
