Justice Katju’s Views on Pakistan: A Controversial Perspective
Why I will never be able to visit Pakistan
By Justice Markandey KatjuA young Pakistani friend, with whom I often chat on WhatsApp, just now sent me this message " Kabhi Pakistan bhi na ao sir "
I replied :.
I would love to visit Pakistan, and see the beautiful places there and meet the wonderful and hospitable people, but I will never get a Pakistani visa because (1) I have called Pakistan a fake, artificial entity ( I refuse to call it a country) which is part of India, and was separated from it by a British swindle in 1947 on the basis of the bogus two nation theory, but is bound to reunite with India one day under a secular government having modern-minded leaders.
(2) I regard all religions as false and superstitious, and the truth only in science, which is always developing. So why will an Islamic State grant me a visa?
Some time back I had written the article, whose link I posted on Twitter :
On reading this tweet, a Pakistan Minister, Fawad Chaudhry, posted a tweet in response, inviting me to visit Pakistan, but nothing came of it.
So I doubt my dream of visiting Pakistan will ever become a reality
