South African president vows to restore order to the nation following a week of unrest

On Friday, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa promised to restore order to the country after a week of violence brought on by the imprisonment of former President Jacob Zuma. In a press conference that same day, Ramaphosa also authorized the deployment of 25,000 members of South African National Defence Force to assist police forces.
