PM greets all Chartered Accountants on CA Day
Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted all Chartered Accountants on CA Day. Shri Modi has also shared a video in which he expressed his views on the importance of Chartered Accountants in the field of Economics.
Mr Modi tweeted;
“A Chartered Accountant has an important role in our economy. On CA Day, best wishes to all Chartered Accountants. May they keep working hard in furthering growth and transparency in the economy.”
Special additional excise duty/cess applicable on the export of petrol and diesel, Rs.6 per litre on petrol and Rs.13 per litre on diesel
Special Additional Excise Duty/Cess has been levied on their export of petrol and diesel, Rs.6 per litre on petrol and Rs.13 per litre on diesel. These cess will be applicable on every export of diesel and petrol from the country.
According to a Finance Ministry press release, the above initiative has been taken with a view to exports, hence it will not have any impact on the domestic retail prices of High-Speed Diesel and Petrol.
Nupur Sharma was strongly reprimanded by the Supreme Court, and said the country was set on fire
The Supreme Court has said that Nupur Sharma should apologize to the entire country for her remarks on the Prophet. Also refused to grant relief to transfer all FIRs registered against him to Delhi. Nupur withdrew her petition from the court.
Commenting on Nupur Sharma, the top court said that she alone is responsible for whatever is happening in the country today.

In a press conference, Uddhav said that it is being said that CM belongs to Shiv Sena, it is wrong. Eknath Shinde is not the CM of Shiv Sena.
Uddhav Thackeray said that an overnight game is being played for power. Appealing to the people of Mumbai, he said that do not do any such work which spoils the environment.
Shiv Sena approaches Supreme Court to stay Eknath Shinde’s majority test
Shiv Sena today reached the Supreme Court against its 16 rebel MLAs, but it did not get relief from there. Shiv Sena’s Uddhav camp had demanded that the Supreme Court suspend these 16 rebel MLAs, against whom disqualification proceedings have been initiated. The name of the new Chief Minister of Maharashtra Eknath Shinde is also included in these 16 MLAs.
At present, the Supreme Court has refused to immediately hear the matter. The top court said that it will hear the matter only on July 11.

NTPC Limited, India’s largest integrated power company, has announced the completion of 20 MW of the final part of the 100 MW Ramagudam Floating Solar PV Project.

Government warns Ed-tech companies against unfair trade practices
The Central government has warned the Ed-tech companies against unfair trade practices. The Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs, Shri Rohit Kumar Singh held a meeting with the self-regulatory body India Edtech Consortium (IEC), which runs under the aegis of the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI), in New Delhi today. Shri Singh said that if self-regulation does not curb unfair trade practices, then stringent guidelines would require to be formulated for ensuring transparency.
The meeting was attended by representatives of IAMAI, along with IEC member companies including upGrad, BYJU’S, Unacademy, Vedantu, Great Learning, WhiteHat Jr. and Sunstone.
