Congress showed unity between Sachin Pilot, Ashok Gehlot. “Both the leaders (Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot) have unanimously decided to work together and leave the decision to the high command,” senior Congress leader KC Venugopal said after the four-hour meeting.

The Congress has challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to call a special session of Parliament and allow debate on issues that anger the opposition if he (the Prime Minister) is truly committed to a flourishing democracy. At a press conference in Jaipur, senior Congress leader Anand Sharma said, “Call a special session and allow debate on the issues raised by opposition parties.”

Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan is on a three-day visit to Singapore to strengthen existing ties and explore the possibility of widening the scope of bilateral engagement in education and skill development. Shri Pradhan met various key Ministers of the Singaporean Government and visited Spectra Secondary School. Shri Pradhan had a constructive meeting with DPM & Minister for Finance, Singapore, H.E Mr Lawrence Wong on strengthening the existing cooperation between India and Singapore with a focus on deepening engagements in skill development. The Indian Army commemorated the 75th International Day of UN Peacekeepers, yesterday, by paying homage to the fallen comrades by laying a wreath at the National War Memorial, New Delhi by the Chief of the Army Staff, Vice Chief of Army Staff and representatives from the Navy and Air Force, Ministry of External Affairs and United Nations. This is the day when in 1948 the first UN peacekeeping mission, “UN Truce Supervision Organisation (UNTSO)” began operations in Palestine. Each year on this Day, the UN and countries across the globe pay tributes to the professionalism, dedication and courage of all men and women who have served or are serving in UN Peacekeeping Missions and honour the memory of those who have laid down their lives in the cause of peace. This year marks the 75th Anniversary of the UN Peacekeepers Day.
