GeM workshops in all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh between 12th June – 31st August 2023
India’s leading online procurement platform Government-e Market Place (GeM) is conducting buyer-seller workshops in all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh from tomorrow till 31st August 2023. The objective of these workshops is to enhance the understanding of the working of GeM, as well as to provide a platform to address any queries or concerns they may have.
Projects worth over Rs 7,500 crore approved for development of modern fishing harbours and fish landing centres
Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Parshottam Rupala and Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal laid the foundation stone for the project of modernization and upgradation of Cochin Fishing Harbor at Samudrika Hall, Willingdon Island, Thoppumpady, Cochin Port Authority, Kerala today. Cochin Port for Modernization and Upgradation of Cochin Fishing Harbor at Thoppumpady under Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) in convergence with Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways under Sagarmala Scheme by Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying in March 2022 The proposal of the trust was approved and central assistance of Rs 100 crore was provided for the total project cost of Rs 169.17 crore.
Inauguration of Shelad to Nandura section of Amravati-Chikhali National Highway 53 at Khamgaon, Buldhana, Maharashtra
The Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari today inaugurated the Rs 816 crore Shelad to Nandura project on Amravati-Chikhali National Highway 53 at Khamgaon in Buldhana, Maharashtra. National Highway 53 is important in the country as a major trade link between the states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Odisha. In addition, it is a highway connecting Nandurbar, Dhule, Jalgaon, (Khamgaon) Buldhana, Akola, Amravati, Nagpur and Bhandara districts of Maharashtra. This highway is also important because it has good connectivity to Raipur-Nagpur-Surat or East-West Corridor.
