The loot in the Ram Temple
By Justice Markandey KatjuAllegations have surfaced regarding the misappropriation of approximately Rs 7 crore from devotees' cash donations at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed, and police have arrested multiple individuals, recovering about Rs 10-12 lakh in unaccounted cash from the residence of a former temple employee involved in counting operations.
Since police investigation is going on I would not like to comment on the matter, except saying that it seems Ram bhakts have not even spared Lord Ram.
I am reminded what a senior lawyer of Allahabad High Court told me when I was a junior lawyer there ( in the 1970s ) :
In this country if your backside was not attached to your body, people would run away with that too.
