In a major political stir in Maharashtra today, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MLA Ajit Pawar defected from the party and joined Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena-BJP coalition NDA government. He took oath as the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra at the Raj Bhavan. Along with him Chhagan Bhujbal and 8 other NCP leaders also joined the Shinde cabinet.

Seven Amarnath pilgrims injured in road accident

Seven pilgrims going for Amarnath Yatra were injured in a road accident at Mand in Udhampur district, they are being treated in Jammu. According to the information received, the vehicle of Amarnath Yatris met with an accident and 7 passengers from Saharanpur in UP were injured.
